It all began in Oxford.

Raised in a world-renowned private golf club community, members clubs + luxury have always played a major role in our Founder’s life.

Courtney has always loved travel, and owning a Luxury Travel House + spending lots of time jet-setting around the world is quite literally in her blood.

But it wasn’t until her time in Oxford that she realized how infatuated she was with exploring the world. It was her first time on European soil, and she had no idea how much it would change her life.

Studying Business at the University of Oxford, one of the most prestigious schools in the world, Courtney also took it upon herself to visit London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Ibiza, and Barcelona.

Seeing the old-world buildings, learning the history, and experiencing the regal decor during these travels made her immediately infatuated with Europe. Learning from the oldest university in the English-speaking world + one of the leading schools on the globe was a luxury that not many people can experience.

Fast forward to late-2019, Courtney decided to move back to Europe temporarily, this time alone. Courtney lived in Amsterdam, and spent time in Barcelona, Girona, the Canary Islands, Berlin, Lisbon, Venice, Paris, London, and finally back to where it all started - Oxford. While living in Amsterdam, Courtney worked from Soho House, an esteemed member’s club, and made it a point to stop by almost every house in the UK (and there are a lot!).

Prior to Oxford, Courtney studied Hospitality at San Diego State University, and has worked either in or with boutique + luxury hotels her entire professional career, gaining an internal hotel perspective in order to best understand how hotels operate.

Courtney’s father is a serial entrepreneur, and previously owned his own travel agency. Her mother was a flight attendant for MANY years prior to having her 2 daughters, traveling all around the world.

Since 2013 Courtney has been exploring the globe (Australia, Cuba, Thailand, Cartagena, etc), seeking out and experiencing the best hotels + restaurants, building relationships with both (+ notable clients) along the way.

She prides herself on having experienced almost all hotels that we work with (in every major city). She also continuously attends large hospitality tradeshows (in Barcelona, Frankfurt, Vegas, etc), where she has built relationships with additional hotels she has not personally experienced yet.

Every part of this company was built upon personal relationships. We have devoted our professional career to exploring the best things to do around the globe, and creating the most amazing relationships so that we can get our clients access to the best hotels + restaurants.

JRNY Travel is a place of inspiration. Being a creative herself, Courtney LOVES photos and showcasing her life through imagery. She found an untapped market where she was able to showcase the travels that she has set up for her Members by sharing their content with her following. Courtney has created a virtual tour experience by utilizing her Member’s amazing content to inspire travels and showcase her partner hotels.
